The SG.137, CP. A1q (5), Scott 39, 1d Brown with advanced plate wear the changed colour 1d Brown, printed by Davies on the Unwatermarked paper and having a perforation of 12.5. There are signs of doubling of the Right hand side frame line. These stamps can  be found with the papermakers script or block letters on various copies. This stamp is believed to have the “012” handstamp of Henley, Dunedin District.

The 2d Vermillion (damaged Plate) SG.138, CP. A2t, Scott 48 printed by Davies between 1873 on the No watermark paper. This stamp has the 12.5 perforation.  This stamp comes from the heavily damaged plate Row 19, No. 9. With a Single (FFS7) Datestamp, of Christchurch.
  
This is retouch Row 19 Number 9. The pre-touch copy is in the earliest state of wear, showing only a hint of weakness at the right and plating was helped by marginal marks. Retouching shows to the right of the head and an overall blotchiness can be seen on the early retouched copy. Wear continued on the right side.

The 4d Davies printed in 1873 on unwatermarked paper and perforated 12 1/2. This is the Bright Orange-yellow shade SG. 139, CP A4c, Scott 49. This stamp is unused and shows a pre-printing paper flaw. These stamps are found with the “TH SAUNDERS” and “CC” papermakers watermarks.
