The Top frame line goes from thick to thin and the value Tab top and bottom and postage frame are very inconsistent.

There are signs of doubling of the Top and Bottom frame line and two brown marks in a line within the “N” of New Zealand.

Stamp 1 (LHS) has a dot in the margin and marks between the A&L of Zealand. Stamp 2 (RHS) has a doubling of the top frame line and (RHS) of the “T” of Postage is offset.

This stamp manuscript cancellation as shown in the Postage Stamps of NZ Vol. III. It is figure 227 but the post office has not been confirmed. There are signs ofdoubling of the Top frame line.

The bottom frame line is uneven and there is a large  White spot under the “D” of Zealand.   Plated as Row 4 No. 11 having re-entry in top corner of “O” of one.

​Damaged and Retouched Plate - Row 17 - No. 9

This SG.133 is one of the "Retouched Positions" above Row 18. The stamp characteristics are a blotchy overall appearance in the pre-touch state, with least affected lines above the left shoulder. Initial retouching was effective, with graver slips leaving lines in the first "E" of "PENCE" and the "P" of "POSTAGE" . Later wear affected all but the left side and showed the deeper cuts.
